The January 2013 issue of Money Sense magazine had a very good article on what you're going to need to do if you're planning on selling your home in 2013. The first question you need to ask is 'What type of seller am I?". Willing or in other words testing the market with a price you need to get and not based off the current market situation. Chances are we will remain in a fairly strong buyers market for most of 2013 so these types of sellers have little chance of selling. If you're anxious or even desperate to sell in 2013 you are going to need to be priced properly. According to Money Sense, only real sellers should be in the market in 2013. If you do list your property their advice is to pick a Realtor with an extensive marketing program. Make sure you're Realtor is a full time listing and marketing specialist and can show you a detailed and specific marketing plan to generate plenty of interest. Selling a home in 2013 will be all about marketing. What to see what a professional and extensive marketing plan looks like to draw interest and exposure to a home?
